Un altro pezzo di arte e musica della nostra città si è spento. Massimo Melodia, cantautore eccelso, si è spento dopo una lunga malattia nella sua casa palermitana. Autore poliedrico impegnato tra musica, teatro e televisione.
La poesia, il senso della sua arte. Il Mediterraneo, l'isola e, la Sicilia il suo cuore.
Alcune sue composizioni come La Vucciria, L'Isola, Buela, Lu misi di marzu, L'amico mio lupo di mare, La gita, Canto bambino, fanno ormai parte della cultura e del patrimonio musicale siciliano.
Sembra ci fosse tanta malinconia nei suoi testi, a tratti effervescente ironia.
Melodia ha anche composto nel 1979 l'inno Ufficiale del Palermo Calcio.
